Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of two Japanese titles on 23rd September 2008. Priced at $27.98 SRP each are:

Dororo - In an age of epic samurai battles, one warrior must hunt down and destroy powerful demonic forces to reclaim his humanity and uncover the secret of his father’s betrayal. Based on the classic story by Osamu Tezuka, Dororo is a fantastical adventure.

Midnight Eagle - Based on the novel by Tetsuo Takashima (Intruder) and directed by Izuru Narushima (Fly, Daddy Fly), Midnight Eagle chronicles a race to save a nation from annihilation. When a gifted photographer (Takao Osawa) witnesses the crash of a U.S. bomber in Japan’s snowy Northern Alps, he becomes a reluctant hero who must defy the odds to protect the plane’s lethal contents from getting into the wrong hands.

Both titles are released on barebones discs presenting the films in anamorphic widescreen with Japanese DD5.1 Surround audio and English subtitles.
