Nucleus Films have announced the UK DVD release of Grindhouse Trailer Classics on 24th September 2007 priced at £14.99. This two-hour compilation of theatrical promos for the most eye-popping examples of the sleazy cinematic sub-genre that has come to be known as "Grindhouse" comes to UK DVD for the first time.

Timed around the theatrical release of Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof the DVD has been compiled by genre movie expert Marc Morris (co-author of Shock! Horror! Astounding Artwork from the Video Nasty Era) from his own personal archive of over 7000 titles, along with the assistance of director Jake West (Pumpkinhead: Ashes To Ashes; Evil Aliens; Razor Blade Smile), Grindhouse Trailer Classics brings you a hand-picked collection of mind-blowing trailers for the 1960s and 1970s cult movies that have inspired and informed the works of a whole generation of contemporary directors, including the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Eli Roth and Rob Zombie – films such as They Call Her One Eye, The Thing With Two Heads, Three On A Meathook, Ilsa: She Wolf Of The SS, Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Blood Sucking Freaks, The Corpse Grinders, Wham Bam Thank You Spaceman and many more.

Also included on the disc is a bonus featurette that explores the history of Grindhouse cinema, Bump n' Grind, presented by Emily Booth (star of Evil Aliens and Pervirella and presenter of the TV shows outTHERE and Shock Movie Massacre) and written by Stephen Thrower, the acclaimed author of Nightmare USA: The Untold Story of the Exploitation Independents. And if that wasn't enough for genre fans, the DVD also features exclusive artwork by illustrator and painter Graham Humphreys, the artist behind the theatrical poster campaigns for The Evil Dead and A Nightmare On Elm Street.

Prior to the release of Grindhouse Trailer Classics on DVD, Bump n' Grind will be screened at London's prestigious Frightfest and will be presented in person by Emily Booth herself.

Content on the disc will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with optional English HOH subtitles. Extras include the Bump n’ Grind featurette and a Grindhouse Poster Art Gallery.

Below we have some clips (please note, these are not safe for work!)...

Switchblade Sisters - Low / High

Ahhh "They Call Her One Eye" pretty dull adn disapointting overall but the ending was pretty brutal and satisfying. Switchblade Sisters I sold when I got my widescreen TV because the disc was non-anamorphic which I regret because that film was loads of fun. Seeing as exploitation trailers are frequently better than the actual films this DVD should be very enjoyable

I've been interested in this release for some time now but after watching the clips I decided to pre-order.
